I was just recounting to a co-worker something that JT did this weekend. I thought I'd see if I could re-tell it here for posterity. It requires some visualization, so bear with me.
While learning to count on his fingers, JT has discovered that his fingers are not all the same size. So he will often point it out. He assigns character values to his digits. He'll say (while holding up two fingers), "Look, mommy! Here's the big Super Mario and here's the Baby Super Mario." or "Here's James and here's Charlie!"
Just the other night: "Here, mommy! I'm the big Super Mario!"
nnnnn
(Here's the visualization; pretend these are fingers.)
